west bay in dorset is a lovely place but thats gone to the dogs now for overnighting a height restrictor on the main carpark and no overnighting notices on the carpark behind the station
wonder if it got anything to do with the camp site on other side of the road or am i too suspicious
its getting harder to wild camp anywhere now no one wants us :(

Happened at Woolacombe. motorhomes arrived in large numbers, stayed above the beach and spent money in shops, pubs, clubs etc. Kids used beach clubs and wallowed in icecream.
Hoteliers worked out they had too many beds for visitors as the prices were too high for long stays.
Whimpering and putting on pressure they had the beach road banned to overnighting....now no motorhomes and the shops, clubs and pubs are whimpering and the icecream trade is dramatically down.
Beds now taken up? Still empty

we are outlaws

britain is the worst place in europe for camper vans /motorhomes
so go over the water to the rest of europe and spend your money there they realy want us to stop and stay for the night or two there is so many overnight stopovers from a few euros or for free some with free electrisity and water and toilet empying places all suplied bythe local councils to entice us to visit there towns and so to spend some money whilst there
this country realy needs to take a fresh look at it self as it is not only foreign holliday makers that bring money to the local tourist resorts it could be us spending here at home
mind you many of our foriegn friends we know will not be comming to britain again after only one visit they also feel they are treated as some sort of posh gypsys being forever denied somewhere to overnight
or being forced to go to a sub standard british camp site as most are compaired with the standard in europe
so ring sea france my last 3 returns were under £40 each way.. the cost of two nights on a reasonable british camp site

thats this country all over i totaly agree with you could say more but not worth it but we have no freedom is there a resonable british camp site !!!!!! dont think so 20 or so quid for a bit of grass or whopee concrete electiric hook up that if you boil a kettle of water have your telly on god forbid a fan heater on and pop no more leki rather stay in a laybye put 20 quid of juce in the tank and away somewhere else ok i know some of you with kids have to use sites its you i feel sorry for but i think some of the older kids may see it as a bit of an adventure for a night or two
