When it is wet or snowy I put old newspapers on the floor of the car to absorb the water.

Put a complete newspaper in the foot wells, use the car and afterwards put the wet newspaper in the recycling bin.

No more wet car floors.

I have been doing this for years, but I don't know anyone else who does this ?

I hope this helps.

Hello Alan.

Don't you have free local newspapers delivered or collect them at the supermarket or in the high street ?

I find them handy for keeping the car floor dry or putting under the mugs when I make a cup of tea to catch the drips, so many uses.

I even keep a few newspapers in the boot of the car.

Nope, we've never bothered, heater on to keep us toes toasty warm also dries the carpet. :D

mind i did years ago for msking vehicles when spraying .
best avoid the cold these days .

I would have thought that wet newspapers would transfer ink onto the carpet, rubber car mats for me.

Oh I have rubber mats but I don't want damp in the car, people driving around with misted up windows because the car is damp inside.

All the vehicles I have had have dark carpets, so I have never seen any traces of ink.
