Hi we came across this thingymobile while on our recent trip.



Never did see the occupants.

Brilliant. Love stuff like that. I once went in a converted wagon parked at Glastonbury Tor with a four poster bed in it.
 
Why? It will have tinworm infestation and wouldn’t pull the skin off a rice pudding.
 
Loved my R4. Very handy handle for Chinese takeaway. When driving, keeping a eye out for bridge heights would be a good idea.
 
nice . used to be loads about , mainly with vw's or 2cv's on top .i made one myself , welded an ambulance top half onto a magirus deutz fire tender- instant bedroom !
 
When the credit crunch hit Portugal in 2008, all the youngsters with BMWs ,on credit, had to get rid of them when they lost their jobs.
Out of the barns, came grandads old R4s, 5s and 2CVS.. They never rust, down here, in less than 50 years. Everywhere they went, they left a trail of chicken feathers.
We still see some, most days. Some done up, but many in original order.
