Wedding Help Needed

A plea for a good friend. She is getting married on July 21st and is having to do everything as cheaply as possible. She is trying to hire a motorhome for the second week of her honeymoon (starting July 28th) to tour the west coast of Scotland where she was brought up (now lives in Brighton!)

The hire prices for motorhomes are huge, so she asked if I would post to see if anyone here, ideally living in the very nothwest of England or South West of Scotland, hires out their motorhome for a sensible price.

I can vouch for her integrity. There will be her, her husband and their baby.

If anyone can help personally, or knows of anyone who could help, please pm me and I'll put you in touch.

Hoping Wild Camping can come up trumps to help!

Wish i could help David, the problem is, the most on here, for them, their MH's are their babies and i cant see anyone wanting to let them out, i've done it once, never again, have you tried John Cross MH's i think he does a discount for WC members, plus, its the height of the season most peeps are on hols or attending shows n such like.
 
......I seem to remember coming across something in the local paper (I am not far from Brighton) about hiring of campers etc and to it didnt seem that expensive I will see if I can find it for you.
 
have a whip round the family for a loan buy one then resell it probaly work out cheaper than hiring one and would not imange lossing that much on it ok if family large enough might even make a lttle bit on it



ps if i win the jackpot on the lottery betwen now and then i find them something for a week that is the best that ican do

Excellent idea OH or alternatively, have a whip round for the hire cost, if there are enough family and friends it would be a great wedding gift.

well it does not sound like they are newly wed couple {yes iknow it sounds strange} they probaly have all the tea towels bed linen china eta toaster as the have a young child sorry if this sound wrong but couldnt think of a way of putting it good idea robmac
 
There is a company on the south coast road in Peacehaven that might help they are or were near the first petrol station you come to on the left hand side coming from Brighton
 
You could advise them to forget the wedding and use the money saved to hire a motorhome!;)
 
Thanks for answers so far. They're actually looking to try to collect one from south west Scotland or north west England, and start the motorhome part from there.

OH, you are right. They've lived together for ages, but are finally tying the knot. She was reluctant after two doses of severe domestic abuse!

If any of our Scottish friends know anywhere just inside the border, perhaps you could post up. I know it's a long shot, but I did promise I would ask. If I hadn't just downsized, there wouldn't be a problem.

don't know where they live, and i know this might me a long shot, but have you tried holiday exchange? when i had my boat i looked into this and there were loads of peeps who wanted to live in a house for a weeks holiday in England, or just another part of the country, jsut do a google search on holiday exchange, its worth a try
