You are supposed to keep all doors and windows closed, with blinds drawn.

I only open them when the outside temperature drops below the internal temp. Yesterday it was 5 degrees cooler in the house (downstairs) than it was outside. If I am up early I open everything to get that cool morning air through the house.

the best we got in Rutland today was 30deg according to the forecast but my weather station on the front porch recorded 38deg spent a few hours sunbathing but went indoors to the A/C for an hour mid pm
