water pumps and loch doon

Hi, had a great weekend wild camping but my water pump would not work. It says its a whale. Does anyone know how to make it work or should I just buy a new one? If so, where would you recommend and which one? For a camper van with cold water only. Is a foot pump an option so no power would be required?

Went to loch doon to start with. I would not recommend it. Since I was last there there are signs everywhere saying no overnights, it is filthy with used loo roll hanging from bushes and litter all over.

Moved to the water of deugh, was lovely and peaceful, and clean.

If there is power to the pump but it is not actually pumping water, probably just needs a new impeller which you should be able to get from any caravan dealers or marina.

Hi it is not making the noise it usually makes when you turn the tap on so does that mean the power is not getting there? All the wires still seem the same.

Probably an electrical fault then. Check the connections and fuse - if not could be burned out.
