Water pump problem with Renault Trafic campervan

:idea-007: I have a Trafic motorhome with a pumped cold water system to the sink. It keeps getting airlocked if the van stands still for a week or two. I posted something about this months ago, and managed to solve the air-lock issue by putting a hose on the tap and clearing it that way. It took about 20 minutes to get the flow through by this method. I had the same problenm last week after not having used the van for a month. Every time it stands for a few days, it simply seems to suck air in rather than water from the storage tank. Anyone have any ideas about solving this issue on a more more permanent basis?

Hi Pete do you know what sort of pump it is
if its a centrafugal one they will airlock if they are above the height of the water in the tank (get the pump down lower )if its a diaphram type airlocking shouldent be a porblem as they will pump air as well as water
so it is probbably a blocked pre filter restricting the flow to the pump from the tank
