I have a CARVER CASCADE 2 WATER HEATER we whent camping this weekend and water poured out of this we have removed it I think the seal may have gone before we do anything drastic as anyone any ideas thanks a lot for any replies. steve

if not a cracked casing[it's thin cast ally] there's 5 holes that i can think off, cold in, hot out, drain valve,240v element gasket and the main joint between the 2 casing halves. all spares are available and its not bad to work on ,just got to check them all

suggest you take off end cover after disconnecting 240v,this is a machine screw top middle and aself tapper bottom middle.the wires going through the left hand side are held by push in rubber grommets and come out ok.you can now see the cold inlet and drain valve clearer and the 240v element on the right check all with a bit of loo roll for wetness

ive just repaired mine the tie rod bar broke dur to severe frost had a few weeks ago is yours still in one piece ,cheers john

yes but flakeing a bit sent away for rubber ring (seal) hope that this as perished with frost and this solves the problem got my douts as it looks ok but have never seen a bad one.

hi if it is like mine and as a rubber seal between the two halve and when you undo i think three srews to get to the seal and you remove the seal which is about two inch in diameter whith the pressure valve underneath and the bottom is like a bowl mine did the same last year it is not the seal it is the casing that as warped. all you need to do is put a thin bead of clear sealer round the edge of the bowl part without getting it on the black rubber and let it go of then fix back together and try it. took me three attempts but i cured it hope this helps
