Wast water cumbria

Anyone stayed around Wast water lately. We are planning to go next weekend but there seems to be confusion about no overnight parking restrictions.

Wastwater.

We went to Wastwater on the weekend and it was extremely busy due to the bank holiday. All the sites were full. We stayed overnight in Overbeck NT carpark with no hassle although it states no overnight a few locals said its ok. Needless to say respect the area and follow the usual good practice code and you'll be ok. Lovely spot by the lake. Although as expected walkers do use the carpark in the daytime so expect to see people when you emerge from your sleeping bag in the morning! The carpark was full by 10 o clock. Enjoy Wastwater.
