Be warned there is a spoof email going around again, this one is very clever and says basically some IP address has tried to asses your account three times which PayPal have now locked for your security.

It is a very good layout and very nearly fooled me, but being on the boat I could not remember the password for this particular account and after thinking about it sussed it was a spoof.

Clever webpage and it asks you to go to Resolution Centre to verify your account, with apropriate links etc.

Report it to Paypal and if you want to check your account, LOG IN THE NORMAL WAY AND NOT ON ANY LINKS ON THIS EMAIL.

Any genuine e-mail from Paypal will be addressed to you personally viz "Dear John Thomas" and not simply start "we have noticed....etc" or "Dear paypal member"

This is one way of smelling out any scam mails. That said you still have to be careful.

Ctrl U with Firefox views source or it's under the view menu.

Pay pal Log in page address will start with https://www.paypal.com/....

Look for https which is a secure server.

As noted above, sometimes the scammers will hide the true address in the body of the email if they can.

When you log in normally to pay pal, always check the address in your browser address bar at the top, it should be https://www.paypal.com/....

If you log in at a fake page by mistake, your password will be collected by the crooks. These fake login pages are usually closed quickly by the authorities but they do pop up again here and there.
