24deg today in our village here in Spain and the Local,s are not happy. Because they say that if the first days of march are hot then wind and rain is coming so dont bring your shorts over here this month bring you wet weather gear.:lol-049::lol-049::lol-049::lol-049:

Thanks Ken you have really made my day. I am off to Benidorm tomorrow for 14 nights so this is not the news I need. Staying in a good hotel out of the crazy zone so weather not that critical.

You should have a great time we went there Sunday the town was buzzing loads going on. :have fun:

Yes Beni nows how to entertain although not to all tastes. We were there in the first week of November which had a big fiesta. Near the end of the week there was a 250,000 euro fireworks display which was awesome. A fancy dress day which had 1000s dressed up which appeared to be many Brits who had come for the occassion. Very much a fun day.

I think in this visit we have a fiesta which ends up in fancy floats being displayed and then burnt. The local families dress up in traditional costumes which are very colourful.

Roll on Saturday as I can enjoy whatever the weather

Well Ken, it gives me the greatest pleasure to tell you your locals talk a load of rubbish. On my last day in Beni and its been wall to wall sunshine for the last 13 1/2 days. Overcast for half a day and I did see raindrops on the ground for a short period but did not need to shelter. Will miss this weekends fiesta but will time it better for next years march visit.

Now where do I send my bill for excess luggage i.e. raincoat, umbrellas, wellingtons, lifebelts

Will be back in November to enjoy the fiesta at begining of month.

"the rain in spain falls mainely ?????"

Raincoats. umbrellas, wellingtons , lifebelts, You can leave with me so when you come back out in November they will be here waiting for you that way you will have room for all your winter things you need to keep warm Safe Travel.

By the way March as not finished yet so the locals could still be right.:lol-049::lol-049::lol-049::lol-049:

Wishful hoping by the locals, rain is just what the Costas need at the moment. I would say it's been one of the sunniest rain free winters in 20 years.

That,s were we are lucky here all our water come,s from springs in the mountain so we should be ok i can remember one year here when on the cost they had no water in there homes they were sending lorry's up here to help them out, so now the farmers here like in some places in England need rain badly.
