any thoughts on spending a few months in Portugal over the winter months, has anyone done it? any good sites there they dont have to be free and wild but reasonable prices would be good.

Done it a couple of times & found it great for wild camping, especially northern Portugal. Although when we have been there in the winter months the weather wasn't too bad it was nowhere near as warm as southern Spain. I have heard that some of the good wilding spots on the Algarve are now no go areas. Found the Portuguese very friendly & felt safe when we were wildcamping. The barragems (reservoirs) are popular places to wildcamp.

We have wintered in Portugal several times and wild camped all the time, The CCC run a rally at Albuferra if you fancy that .the weather although not fabulous was always better than the UK.http://s394.photobucket.com/albums/pp23/malarth/ALGARVE/?action=view¤t=SDC10013.jpg

Thanks for sharing those pics .... brings back memories from a few years ago ... sites like those on the full members disk would make it extremely good value.
