Urgently wanted parts from a 310D. A heater blower motor with fan or full heater Also Ignition with Keys.
If anyone has any info on any 310Ds being scrapped in the Manchester and surrounding areas. would be very grateful

I am a bit puzzled as to why you need a motor for the heater.

What usually happens is the resistor fails. This is the unit that decides how hard the fan works. Did yours stop working gradually at some of the fan settings on the switch. If so, you just need a new resistor.

If the fan suddenly stopped working completely, have you checked the fuse?

A new ignition switch should still be available from a dealer (I would think)

Hi yes had the fuses checked the heater was not working when we bought the MH. when it was checked. the brushes have melted so it cant be stripped down. Thats why we think we need a new motor. We have found that trying to get hold of spares is like finding hens teeth or having to rob a bank LOL.There is current going to the switch.and current going to part of the motor because we are not sure we are trying to avoid paying new prices. The igmition we think is the housing and not just the switch.oh well will keep on trying.
Thanks for taking the time to reply

You can register with breakers yards online. If they get the part in that you need, they email you. Just google breakers and dismantlers.

I've just sourced loads and loads of new parts (not used) for a 207D which is the same front end, so if I can help, give me a shout.

Meanwhile these people are good and mail out used parts:

Mercman 01736 757773 or 02380 784444
mercman.co.uk

Google Dronsfields at Oldham

If either of the next two have them, but don't mail, let me know, I'll collect and mail and you can send me a cheque!

The place that supplies ALL the UK as far as I can make out is Hadrian Panels 01392 420460. They only supply the trade, but ask for Chris and he'll probably bend the rules for you.

Alternatively, again new, DIY Motorspares, Pinhoe Road, Exeter (make sure you say them and not A1 motors)

If still stuck after these, give me a shout, I've loads of numbers!
Llandow Commercial Motors 01446 796511
Llandow Van Centre 01446 793540

Thank you very much for your reply.I have tried dronsfields they cant get the heater I need.

Once again thank you so much for the help

Merc Heater motor

Hi regarding the heater motor why not try giving it to a decent auto electrician to see what they can do with the motor in general they are robust motors they just tend to sieze due to their exposure bhind scuttle panel.
As long as armature and windings are intact usually something can be done to fabricate brushes/holders.
My own motor was siezed and damaged ,but the hardest part of the repair was getting the steering wheel off to remove the dash!!!.
Good luck as for parts you really have to keep a close look on ebay for them coming up as they are still used daily in foreign countries a lot of 2nd hand parts tend to get exported!!! hence the shortage.
