I might stick a bolt through the top of my broom handle pmsl.

Most awning handles just have a hook at the top don't they? It would be pretty easy to make one out of bent tubing and slide a sleeve over it where you place your hand.

I have the FIAMMA version. Hook at one end crankable handle at the other. 1.4 mtr long. Yours if you want it. I’m in Somerset, Burnham on Sea

I was also looking for an Omnistor handle (they are a T piece not the usual hook), put off by the silly price of a new one I have ordered one of these to fit to the end of a Fiamma handle I have.
