Wanted - '91 Pug/Fiat OS Drop glass

after some little scroat smashed the the Offside window of our camper to steal my sat nav I am now in need of a replacement window.

so off side front door drop glass for a '91 Peugeuot J5/Fiat Ducato/Citroen C25

any idea where I can get a replacement?

thought about it but loss of the NCB & payment of excess made it seem prohibative, I will re-read the glass replacement conditions though :)

was gonna claim the sat nav off the house insurance as it spends more time in the house than any where else anyway
 
strange turn of events....


I have been trying to find the drop glass at various breakers etc since this happened without any success, quite a few places have in fact said, I wish, old vans like that are hard to come by and bits sell very well....

so new thought... what about new? and right enough, 1st call to a local place turned up the glass, I'll get it tomorrow, dearer than I had hoped at £48 + vat but that said one of the breakers said he'd have wanted £40 if he had one....
 
the plot thickens!

collected the glass from Euro windscreens in Dundee yesterday, thought it was a bit strange at the time as it was a flat glass :confused: that said it was clearly labelled Fiat Ducato/Citroen etc '88>'94 so fine says me.

offered it up to the van and was clearly not big enough and the existing glass has a curve :confused:

called him back and turns out there are 2 different glass types fitted which run concurrently and have the same part number!!

glass man is going to sort me the correct glass for today thankfully

I know its a long way but this firm is well known for scrapped and accident damaged vans ( near to M1 ) the yard is full of vans as you pass, not far from Clumber Park or Sherwood Forest.

they may have any parts you require in future they have always been helpfull when I have wanted parts in the past sometimes letting me get my own.
