Hey forum, I am in the process of converting my van into a camper van and am looking at materials to clad the walls with. I would like to use a tongue and groove wooden slat for the walls but am conscious about the weight and also thickness. Ideally looking for lightweight and as thin as possible. Can anyone recommend some good options here please?

Have a look at Liam The Terrible on Youtube. I also love what he does with ceiling battens

Use light thin ply, then when on and finished cover with trim cloth, easy done with spray glue and a dry paint roller, do make sure you insulate and fit all wireing beforhand, condut tubbing if you have room, leave some string inside incase you have to pull extra wires through, good luck

well , t&g ,or matchboarding , 9mm thick ,isn't that much heavier than ply , and it's certainly prettier . i fix it with self rilling screws from Screwfix . make sure to seal both sides before fixing ,or you'll be sorry !

Excellent suggestions there thanks folks. I will seriously look into this. I was thinking about the cloth option and will defo take a look at this...
