Any one no of some were around moffat area with some,nice steady walks .Wear suitable for some new starters and easy to wild camp near by.

I am not sure how dated this is Gary and not sure about the walking but its a start
Moffat on the A701 for Edinburgh. Entrance is on the left, 30 yards short of the grey/white telephone exchange on the right. Notice board says Ericstane Forest. Follow good track about 60-70 yards, just room to turn a 16 foot van.

awrite gary,there r some nice walking around the moffat area,if u go in to moffat take rite at the pub follow it the about five miles or more and you will come to the grey mares tail, it's a big water fall,good walking in that area. and if u head up the glen u'll come to the st, mary's loch beutiful. and half way along the loch u'll see a road to ur left that takes u to the megget resorvior
,lovely and quiet plenty of good walks high and low level. hope this helps u.. cheers garry..:D:eek:
