Wales again

hard pushed to get a camper van up there unless small. Snowdonia getting difficult now. Ogwen A5 ok but Betws y Coed has now no overnighting rules, anyway it has got really busy with cars everywhere, not exactly the ideal place to stay overnight anymore.

Was that way a month or so ago. Stunning area, no overnighting signs virtually every where though.

I have to say, (& Not to be taken the wrong way).
What I saw on that clip was a scuffed area of ground, (No Paper, Clumps) what looks the remains of a quick Shallow fire & ‘A’ piece of what looked like in soiled & clean Kitchen Roll,,Why is This assumed to be Wild Campers !, Could have been the work of anyone’s visit !.

Spent a night at Llyn Geirionydd last year and it was daytrippers in cars who were lighting fires, having picnics and leaving rubbish. Three vans including ours there overnight and we all did our share of clearing up other people's rubbish after they had all left.

What I don't understand is why everyone seems to think they have to light a fire everywhere they go these days?

mmmmm.. not much mess to get furious about really.
Annoying that someone left a bit of rubbish, but that will not change.
I notice a lot of areas will not place rubbish bins, because they do not want to have to empty them, costs etc.

It would have to be a Campsite owner to make the leap from the remains of one BBQ and a piece of kitchen roll, to it's those filthy, free loading, criminal motorhome wild campers who are responsible. So if you force them to give me £25 a night to stop at my place, the countryside will be clean and wholesome for future generations.

It’s an extra £4 a night if you want electric hookup.

Perhaps they should put in some Aires and then POLICE it properly.

You are never going to stop the local idiots who decide to camp out for a weekend. Perhaps some need to be made an example of rather than people just saying they should use campsites. 2 people and a car £50 for a weekend camping when you can do it for nothing and spend your £50 on disposable BBQ and Beers.
