Hi! Can anybody help?

I just got a 1999 T4 Syncro camper, 2.4 TD engine and it has been losing power for a few seconds, then picking up again. Local garage found a loose connecting hose - I think it's from fuel sensor - but they don't know T4 engines and can't find out where it's meant to be attached! Can anybody enlightn me from the pics..

Their diagnostics also picked up that the air flow sensor was n't functioning properly - but that could have been as a result of this, or another problem, so am not keen to replace it (£100+) until other avenus explored.

Be really grateful if anyone can help on this as diesel engines are a mystery to me!
Thanks!
:)

I think the best place to get an answer is the T4 forum T4 - VWT4 Forum
Plenty of VW knowledge on there.
I used it a lot when I had a T4 camper.

It turned out to be the air flow meter after all! As soon as new one was in, it went like a dream. Many thanks for your suggestions - two great sites you recommended. :)
