VW T4 cold starting problem

Hi just back from a great weekend at Keilder but twice had a problem starting from cold heater plug light working ok but had to spin the engine for a while before it would start. once warm it started great had the van for 3 years with no probs anyone had a the same problem with a 2.5 t4
By the way Keilder was great stayed at Elf Viewpoint it is high up with a fantastic view.

you will probably find that 1 / 2 / or more of the heater plugs have failed to check the heater plugs remove the connecting strip and wire main feed from the plugs and then take a piece of old wire and connect to positive side of the battery and touch the threaded part of the heater plug ( that is the part where you had taken the 8mm nuts off to remove the wiring) if you get a spark then that heater plug is fine if you dont get a spark then its duff .
but you could change them all and be on the safe side , they are not that expensive
