vw bus owner

new to this site and thought I would show you my 65 vw bus. restored myself over the last 5 years and about to fit a propex heater, so I can use through the year. Go to vw shows, surfing breaks and general camping and try to use it for what it was designed for - not as a show queen!

looking for some relaxed places around the norfolk coast.

hi all and thanks for the comments.

yep shes my pride and joy and all my hard work (no point in my view in paying someone to do the work, as when she breaks down I need to know how to fix her). Been into v-dubs for about 20 years, so pretty much done most things.

"slightly" improved (1776), cruises at 70 (also had off the clock on the last trip back from cornwall) but not really interested in the speed mainly wanted the extra power so when loaded up with boards and camping gear, i can climb the cornwall hills.

big sites have lost their appeal, so quite fancy the wild camping (although the wifes not quite to sure due to lack of loo's). Only real experience so far is a surf beach south of scarborough, where you can now pitch up in the car park overnight (great for the early surf)

look forward to meeting some of the during the year (if you see me around stamford/peterborough give us a flash)
