Right all you bright SPARKS out there. I may appear to be answering my own question but need to make sure i'm right. So I can keep an eye on the juice I have in my domestic battery I was considering fitting a "voltmeter",if I do, do I just run an earth & live via fused link [what size fuse?] directly from battery to instument,if so what size wire would you recomend please
Thank's for you reply's in advance to a probably simple question.

Your link did not work to RS. Do you have a part number?

If you are connecting directly to the battery, then you must fit a fuse near to the battery. If the cable is accidentally damaged, it could burn out and start a fire. You will only need a very small cable to connect. Use the smallest Halfords can provide. Fit an inline fuse, again from Halfords, with a fuse that is less than the current rating of the cable.

V meter

Dont know the RS code, but if you key in DMS-20LCD-01-DCM on the RS web site it should produce the location. Or try www.datel.com.

Meter

The RS code for the meter is DMS-20PC-0-DCM. Just key it into the search box at the RS website.
