From the look of your van I wouldn't think that you'd have a problem.

i think they mean self builds which is victimization, personaly i would not use haven for that reason there are some very well made and may i say expensive home builds out there dearer than our old chugaboo m/homes so if they are not welcome then we are not my thoughts on the matter anyway who wants to pay there overinflated prices for a bit of grass and a hookup that will blow if you use two things at once probably with our classic vans they would tell us to park where we cannot be seen

I think they mean commercial vans with sign-writing. I have used Haven sites lots of times in our self-build, no problem. And the prices are only over-inflated in high season. Check out their website for low-season deals. Not normally my type of site, but my 8 year old likes the fun so occasionally I go there for her.

Usually they mean Commercial Vans, such as Transits ect, towing caravans. Because these vehicles are used by travellers, *****s, didicoys..... call them what you will.
A good many campsites have this restriction nowadays, but its always at the discretion of the site manager, owner.
Self builds would not be turned away from these sites as a rule.

Haven

Yes, I don't agree them turning people away for what is basically the look of the van.

However, not a fan of Haven EXCEPT in term time when the little ones should all be at boarding school. These sites are very cheap. I booked for 5 days with electric, the week after easter a few years ago at Black Rock, upgrading to a super pitch, total cost £25. I think we used the free access to the indoor pool once and the bar once. For those of you who are dog owners beware, there is a cost per night unless you miss that part of the web booking form. I think it would have cost me more for the dogs than for us and the van.....

I would personnally rather parachute into the Tora Bora mountains, flying a banner saying " Osamma is a pussy, and I want him as a pen pal" than stay at Haven.

But each to there own.

just let me say i did not use the haven site as we dont use sites thats why we me and my mrs call ourselfs true wild campers if we need a shower when out its either skinny dipping even in winter or the free showers on m-way services, anyway thanx for you views on this subject.

Self builds

Years ago i got turned away from a camping club site, because i had a self build. Not what we want to hear, still happening.

hello we have just been on about older members (not necessarily old as in years:eek::D) and asking where they are. it looks as if some are still around but just need a good old rattle to make them surface :D:D

Old members

What you have to remember,is there is limited info you can talk about when you have been on here for a while .Afew things are now getting repeated with all the new members.People do come and go to different sites. Not that any off this matters, it is good to see the site doing so well.Happy wandering to you all.
