Very Nice Private Aire in France

If you are heading for Limoges on the 154 between Chartres and Orleans there is a really peaceful place to stop.
There is water and a drop and individual bays. It is on a Farm.
So travelling south on the 154 turn off onto the D354 to Marray. It is only 1 minute off the main road. When we have been there we have not heard any traffic noise whatsoever.
The farmer charges 5euros per night and usually collects it although there is also an honesty box too.
This old farmer is really nice and friendly and showed me his collection of vintage tractors. I cant speak French but we got along.
We use thisroute and jump on the motorway at Artenay and get off at Olivett to bypass Orleans. Its worth the 7euros.

I don't suppose you have the GPS do you as I cant find those roads on google maps. Marray is a long way off the route between Chartres and Orleans. Might be a good stopover on our way north
 
Sorry , although the sign post says Marray just seen that the address is different. So ignore Marray.
So, put into Googe maps
2 Rue de Acacias, 28310 Guilleville. France.
The red balloon comes up and you should see the air de camping car above it.
Just bear in mind that are only about 10 houses in the village so nothing to see.

That seems to be the one that Batman put the GPS in for earlier. So it is at Marray?

I was looking at this aire the other day on sfs. We are heading straight to Limoges when we go through the tunnel in a few weeks. I've now added this to this trip's list. Thank you.
 
That seems to be an ideal stopover on a route which is commonly used. We also use that short bit of autoroute, it is a good shortcut, another short bit of autoroute we use on this route is to hop onto the A13 at Bourg Achard and come off at junction 19 for Evreux

If you are heading south to Limoges there is a very nice aire not far from Luant. 10 mins off the A20. It comes up as Luant but it is not. Take the 2nd exit for Luant (think it is also to LeBlanc) it is the D80. it is behind a restaurant called La Rigolette. You can park behind the restaurant or by the lake there is a service area there but we have never it. It was extremely peaceful when we were there.
The good thing is it is very close to the A20.
