Vehicle Insurance news

I'd call utter rubbish unless you've taken a policy out very recently and your insurance company has seen fit to include a specific pandemic virus lock down clause in it....

Even IF they did.... The insurance company AFAIK STILL have a duty to cover you for damage to a 3rd party....

Though the WILL likely pursue through the court to recover their costs.

Not true thank goodness, imagine the court cases

A spokesman for the Association of British Insurers said: "Motor insurers continue to cover those using their vehicle for commuting to work and NHS volunteering without you having to first tell them.

"You should follow government restrictions, but if you do use your car for non-essential travel, you will not risk invalidating your car insurance."

The comments come after it was claimed motorists could end up paying "thousands" for repairs if they are involved in an accident during a non-essential trip.

I have no legal qualifications and almost no relevant experince.
I did get scammed by an ebay seller offering me a flatscreen TV many years ago.
I paid up but it failed to arrive. I got a court order but no re-imbursement.
A solicitor advised me to give up as I had no confirmation of the "sellers" address etc.
Whilst in your caase it is t'other way round..
as has been suggested the company/bank who loaned the money will not give up.
Any sollcitors fees you pay will be wasted.
It may be the longer you delay or fight will add extra legal costs to the claim which you will end up paying in addition to the outstanding finance and interest.
TOTALLY unfair on you but legally valid !
Listen to others as I sy i am not qualified but.....
Good luck !
