I am now making a list of the modifications that I want to make on my van.
I always find it interesting to hear what other people are going to do, so what plans do you have?

I will be....

Making a bed for my five year old in the roof. (my duetto is a 2 berth)
installing LED internal lighting (osram warm white)
Changing the front roof vent for a fan assisted version
installing reversing camera and sensors
changing the stereo and speakers

I'm planning to fit a stainless steel sink this weekend - to replace the 99p plastic washing up bowl which has been in situ for the last 7.5 years! :D

Replaced 2 front brake pipes on front of bus for M.O.T.(should have done it last year...)
Planning to fit 2 cooling fans to front of radiator to help keep it cool when I cruise at over 55mph or climbing long hills (like the one south west of Exeter).

Lorry :drive:

Extra Battery, Inverter, LED Lighting, Satellite dish, Proper speakers with amp to give good sound from PC/MP3 player/TV etc, GPS, WiFi Booster, Jacuzzi...........

Question:
How heavy ?
Water bed 6ft x 5ft x 6in deep , if not too heavy, might fit one.:sleep-027:

Water Bed
------------

I make it 0.4247 metric tonnes

plus the weight of the fabric/waterproofing
plus the weight of any frame needed

It would be fun to have that sloshing about in the back

Hi. like you just changed roof vent for one with fan (in/out)also fitted swivel table leg and table top so its always in situ , as I get pee'd off lifting large table out of wardrobe then erecting it everytime we stop or cuppa also less weight .

what vent did you use?

The vent I used on mine was the Fiamma Turbo Vent with "polar climate control" (aka a thermostat!)

It's super efficient in small van. Changes the air and extracts fumes in less than 30 secs or so. Will also blow air in on reversing switch.

They cost about £130 new.

Solar panel, water purifier, extra battery, led lighting, bike rack, front & rear sensors, memory foam mattress, solar powered bathroom fan, SOG, storage nets, USB socket, lightweight table and probably loads of other stuff...

I intend to:

Fit two isolators from 100w solar panel to leisure and vehicle battery.
Wire in two LED driving lights.
Fit orange running lights down both sides of my 7.5m 'van.
Update current 5inch permanent on board TV/DVD for an 8 or 10 inch item with freeview of course, for travelling entertainment!
Fit tow bar.
Change Peugeot radio/CD for all in Sat Nav/DVD/radio after market system.
Alter U shape seating to accept a caravan slide out table with drawers.
Fit swing out small table.
Change passenger seat base to allow it to swivel.
Fit more interior floor level LED lights .....colour changing.
Win lottery so I can pay for above.

Planning to fit 2 cooling fans to front of radiator to help keep it cool when I cruise at over 55mph or climbing long hills (like the one south west of Exeter).

Fitted fans in series (2 x 12volt = 24volt), they are a bit rusty, I've had them for about 20 years sitting in the shed, surprisingly they work well.... how long they will last is another matter....

Worth looking at the roof vents working before you make a decision. They vary in noise and air extraction rates quite a bit. Also the amount of actual light they let through too, the mesh fly screens if of the chunky plastic variety look a bit dim:lol-061:

The American made "Fantastic Fan" (available here in the UK from various M/H suppliers) are still about the best IMHO. Very quiet considering there high flow rate and the crystal clear fan blades together with the fine S/S mesh let a lot of light through (even with the tinted lid).

The models with the self closing optional rain sensors can be a bit irritating sometimes, especially if like me you like to sleep with the vent slightly open, as early morning dew will set if off :lol-061: I fitted an override switch to mine.

my list is so long it wouldn't fit in the box lol.

Priorities are to fit the second replacement swivel seat for the MOT then a reading light for the cab area, external light for the side door/awning, fix the water heater grrrr.
Fix the gas leak , fit a safe , a microwave, devise a cunning bracket for my next toy ...a kayak.:) that will do for now or I'll get depressed.
