Use of Cassette Toilets & Black Tanks

I'm posting this out of interest. I have a friend who has had various motorhomes and caravans over a 20 year period. He resolutely refuses to let anyone deposit any solids in the toilet. Even when he had an American RV with a black tank the same rule applied. We had a few days away at a C & C site and the site manager said a lot of campers never use their cassette toilets. Subsequently that prevents him from wild camping. We're tempted to give him a mild laxative.

One dump or two?

I often wondered when this interesting issue would surface, so here it is,funny thing is ,I had this problem just last weekend. Me and Jack had just returned to the van in our little sleepyspot just outside a pretty little village with only one pub.(We gave it a wide burst cos the van was well stocked with grog)
Well, we all get caught short at sometime or other so I grabbed the dog and headed for the village pub, and rather than just walking straight into the loo,I hit the bar and indulged in a pint and a Jack Daniels £5.60, a little chat with the barman and off to the carrsy.(aahhh relief).Cheap at half the price

BTW On the way back to the van I found a public convenience just outside the other entrance to our sleepyspot

now a reply to the original question, why o why if you have a loo in the van dont you use it . after all that is what it is there for . ok if you are out in the wilds then a quick pee is easier to nip outside. but otherwise when push comes to shove that is what a loo is there for, after all the chems that are available today keep the niffs down so cannot see any probs .
