I expect a lot of you are aware of the large car park at Upton on Severn where it is OK to overnight, but for those who don't I will post this, we have just had a night here, it cost £3 to park for 23 hours, we called in on the way home from the Malvern show. There are toilets and fresh water available, the parking is large and is used by lorries overnighting too, so there is room for the largest RV here, although there were about ten lorries here we had a very peaceful night and did not hear the lorries leave early morning. The car park is situated at the edge of the village as you enter from Hanley Castle or on your left as you drive out of Upton after crossing the bridge, it is in Hanley road and called Hanley road car park.Upton on Severn is a very pretty village, on the Severn , lots of interesting shops and buildings, great information centre and exhibition centre here, nice fish and chip shop and several eating places and pubs on the river, and the flowers around the village were super, boat trips on the river are also available too, buses stop outside the car park so it is easy to get around if you want to.

And on a Sunday morning there is a boot sale in the field across the river

we went to the car park you have put here a couple of weeks ago and agree it's a lovely place .. we had a lorry parked right next to us and i still didn't wake when he left in the early hours .. the parents who have been up there many times said they have also seen caravans pull in there for a night as a pit stop .. also some of the pubs do live music and i recomend the hotel (walk into upton from car park it's over the road in front of you) for carvery
