HELP: I’m helping convert a van with my daughter. Do any of you folks know a good reliable company/person in the East Mids area who would fit (quickly) underslung fresh and waste tanks along with a underslung gas tank. I would supply all the tanks and necessary sundries. All the well know fitters Rhino, Barratt, Autogas 2000 etc have lead times into March 2021 plus they are miles away. Before anyone advises me how easy they are to self fit; it is something I’m not confident in doing. Thanks

I have a fresh water tank/could be used for waste. It is free for collection if you want it.
Sorry I don't know anyone who fits them. However, along time ago I went to a guy in Ripley who fitted gas tanks etc. He a LPG seller too. I cant remember exactly where he is but as he sells gas he should be in the book/directory.

Hi Thanks for your response and kind offer of your tank; will come back to you if I decide to take you up on the offer. Re guy in Ripley: I will do a search and try to find him. Thank you

Underslung fresh water tank may not be best idea when it starts freezing whole lot could freeze

Good point do many have under slung FW tanks would need a large hole in van floor to access tank for cleaning
Mine are underneath and i have a large hole with a plate to get into them as there is about an inch clearance.

I have a large stainless tank under Murky. If stored in the winter it’s best to drain it. I have work to do on my new build, but working outside on your back is unpleasant at this time of year. Funnily enough one job for me is to make and fit a water tank. This one I will insulate to stop it getting hot in the summer.

When we had ours fitter we went up Sean Barrats tanks first and had the 2 tanks fitted and working in under 2 hours great service, then on to Autogas 200 and spent the night in there yard, all fitted in a morning and again great service. A bit of a track but I would do it again as such good service.

If you don’t mind sharing, how much did the water tanks cost?

CAK Tanks are not too far from the East Midlands, they don't do gas but are one of the best for water tanks and fittings

As it happens I am sat in the office at Autogas 2000 at the moment. They don't have a lead time into March but currently aren't taking on work due to Covid restrictions.
They have openings for work from February (dependant on Government Guidelines), if you decide it isn't too far to travel or too long to wait contact them. They are open as normal for mail order purchases throughout.
