but they will have to open it to let other punters in the next morning !!! so whats stopping a van just driving out in the morning ?
Perhaps there is a neighbour who has complained about tall vehicles casting a shadow
Would anyone actually voluntarily want to stay overnight at Redcar in the first place?![]()
I went to "VolksPower" in Redcar in July , which was at the rugby club off a Coast road - the same one as in the original photo I think and saw signs about height barriers put in place for the night. And I thought exactly the same thing .... Keep your van safe overnightWhen I see a sign saying "carpark gate will be shut at Xpm" I always think "that will keep the van safe then", gf did say this to a chap who was about to close gate and he wasn't amused, another time when we had been out walking and got back to van chap approached us to let us know he was about to lock gate gf mentioned we had hoped to have a cuppa before moving on and he said, "oh that's ok, you have a cuppa I only live over the road, I'll lock up after I've seen you go".
I would imagine the person opening the barrier would issue the fine if there is one as you must have been parked there overnight, which is prohibited.

I couldn't read the signs in detail as driving and cars coming up behind but I did think the various small parking areas along the coast road and overlooking the North Sea looked a super place for an overnight WC. I guess maybe not![]()
