UK or Europe?

Hi everyone.

Here's probably a tough question to answer, or is it that simple, lol.

As we have decided to buy a Knaus Motor Home, pack in our jobs, sort our lives out & then go off travelling. We are unsure whether to stick to our original plan & see a bit of the UK & then go to Europe when the weather gets a bit damp here. Or whether to travel around Europe as their attitude towards travellers & motor homes etc seems to be more generous.

So what do you lot think & what are your experiences?
Easier here or easier over there?

Thanks for your views on this subject.

I think we have made up our minds to do a little here then head for France. Would love to go to Spain & Portugal as well but we hear refilling our gaslow system is difficult in Spain.

Hi, head straight for France or switzerland, we have had no problems at all, and have camped in some strange places (wild), we are travelling down to Greece this summer via Lake Garda then on to Venice and catch the boat to Greece so will let you know how we get on. But here in France there is no problems, you can even get free water and electric hook up by just popping in and seeing the Marie (mayor).
Good Luck

Do both.

The UK has some great spots, great countryside, and everyone speaks English - OK OK most speak some form of English.

My vote is always head North in Summer and South in winter, unless you're in the Southern Hemisphere.

We'll we've made up our minds:
As we live in Hampshire when all our loose ends are tied up here which now seems to be by the end of June. We're going to Devon & Cornwall then probably Ireland. Then by winter we'll head of for France or Southern Spain.

But knowing us we'll probably change our minds & head srtaight for Ireland then into Europe, lol :)
