Hi all
I have GT Radial Maxmiler-X Tyres in my Abbey Cardinal 495. I cannot determine the date of the tyres because they do not use the standard DOT protocol. My tyres are coded DOT 9UNX which I am sure I need to change. Anyone have any ideas. Googling just says it uses alphanumeric date format.

thanks in advance.

Steve

If no tread wall or sidewall cracks and running true leave them on, my last tyres were 20 years old.

The age of a tyre is pretty much irrelevant.
Leave some tyres in full sun and they're wrecked in under two years.
Look after them well and they're good for two decades.
Some brands are better than others for reaching a healthy old age. I don't know anything about GT Radial, but someone might.
Checking is easy. Look carefully for evidence of cracks in the sidewalls, and press the compound with a fingernail to assess how hard it is. Compare with a newish tyre nearby.
