I have found a website that is very useful in working out how to tune in to both analogue and digital terrestrial TV in the UK & ROI.

For analogue go here UK BBC and ITC analogue TV stations

For digital go here UK digital TV stations

You are presented with a map, and you can click on a place to get the relevant transmitter recommendations.

If you want to 'fine tune' your location to exactly where you are, enter the OS grid reference at the top right, then click Go.

type in the post code of where you are stopping and it gives compass bearing as well as other info.

me i prefer satellite much easier .

Best bet is to switch the telly on, press autotune, go to the pub and get some Feckin drink an wimmin,back to van bladdered and if autotune hasn't worked then it doesn't really matter anymore. hic.
