Hello all.
Could anyone recommend a good aerial for my van please: easier to install the better. my flying saucer fell off and needs a replacement. I posted a while back but can’t find it. Sorry. 😳

I just got a small log periodic domestic aerial, a pole and a couple of clamps. Worked an absolute treat (until the telly got nicked).

Never bothered with a signal finder, just use a compass and one of the online transmitter location maps. Or more usually just make a note of their locations and polarity before setting off.

Stay at home if tv is you thing 😂or maybe not as its just as bad there.
Think I agree. Rarely watch TV at home. Been known to binge on box sets when away. I get those on my chrome book. Save your money, unless you like re-runs of “On the Buses”*
* I’m pretty sure, that’s available on iPlayer. Lol.

those £10 mini log period ones from Screwfix and others work a treat, just see where the house aerials are pointing when you park up and copy that very rare it doesn't work

Asda used to do an end feed yagi which was super light and very small with a good gain, think about £5

Search amazon for this: VSG-DVB-T-Antenne-Receiver-Stick/dp/B00OG0O5GK

I bought one a year ago and for £8 and it is brilliant. It works a lot better than pole my mounted digital aerial.

We have the same and it usually works well. Not bothered if it doesn’t but at least there’s no faffing about and no preamplifier to power.

Cheers

I don’t watch tv much tbh but it’s good to have. I remember watching the 2012 olympics between stops on our Wales - Somerset - Cornwall road trip. It was really good to stay in touch with what was going on with Team GB but also taking in some beautiful places. We we’re at the coast in Aberdaron on the super saturday, picked some wild mushrooms and made a curry whilst watching us clock up the medals.
