Lovely peaceful small camping/caravanning club spot 5 pitches/loo/water/electric/chemical disposal point...
With fab views and walks
£18 per night that goes to the evangelical Chapel that owns the site (I'm not religious at ALL but they have an interesting history being formed from local folk into a independent Christian Fellowship.

I see you have the incoming radar missile detector up, nice clean looking spot. (y)

Looks lovely. You cant beat a good rural CL or CS site I think in the UK when there are no real nice wild spots which are now few and far between. I didnt even bother looking for them on our recent South West coast trip. I avoid the ones with hookup now as they are not only the busiest but some of them are getting well north of twenty quid a night.

There is a cracking pub in Slaidburn the 'Hark to Bounty', been a while since we last visited but it used to serve excellent food and good beer. Nice accommodation too!

Bounty was a favourite hound of the local big wig apparently. Must have been a right noisy bugger if he could pick it out in a pack in full cry.

Cheers

These were my two favourite CL sites of our recent south west trip. First one is near Lyme Regis but far from the madding crowd and the second one is in Cornwall again well out of the way.

Both look lovely. Shamwari near Axminster is a great small quiet site for anyone visiting Lyme Regis/Seaton and the coast path.
Am always looking for places in Cornwall as it has become so busy. Where is this one and what is it called.
Find sites are all putting in hook ups as people seem unable to manage without and so prices are getting high. Would be great if councils would extend the number of days for temporary sites - did it last year but back to 28 days again this year - as that opened up some super places.
