Trying to work out what the noise is under my dash. As long as the battery is connected it's there. Disconnect radio, leisure battery and it's still there all the time. Got good solar so battery doesn't go flat and I've got no idea of the draw. It’s a 2014 Sprinter 616 and its a low hum. I've learned to live with it don’t know if it’s my imagination but I think it has got worse lately.

Does the CPU have a cooling fan? What else could it be? A noisy HD? Any ideas? I’ve had the van for 13yrs,

Are you sure it is a 2014 that you have had for 13 years ? If this is correct I must have been asleep for 4 years as we must now be in 2027, and that is if you have had it from new,
Does your vehicle have air conditioning?
Have you lifted the bonnet when it is doing this noise to make sure it isn’t coming from the engine bay ?

Could it be an electric low pressure fuel pump that pumps fuel to the high pressure fuel pump? my Mercedes estate does the same and that's what mine is.

Good call truckman.
That would only be running when the ignition is on of course. But having had the van for 13 years, you would have noticed it before. Sounds a bit like a fault to me.

Also put a finger on all relays and feel for vibes, i had a buzzing one years back on a car and was hard to find by ear.
