Trumatic C3400 Hotwater Outlet

Hi all. I have a Trumatic C3400 (series 1)Boiler on my '98 Pilote M25. The Hotwater Outlet Valve has fractured at the join with the boiler...(screw in thread).

Truma say these no longer available and differ from the part on later boilers in that they thread directly into the boiler.

Might anyone have one of these knocking around, or know where I might obtain one or have circumvented the problem somehow?

The alternative seems to be a replacement boiler at the cost of about £1300... all for the sake of a 5 quid part...ouch!

A suggestion. If unable to get the part, would it be possible for you to remove the boiler, cut out the damaged part, and weld/solder another part which is readily available. It might cost a few more £'s, instead of paying £1300 for a new boiler. Perhaps someone will come a long and advice you better.

if you can get the broken bit out, even in pieces then you may find it's a common thread and can be got from a plumbers merchant. i did this on a malaga.another idea is assuming the thread is in an aluminium casting, just get a bit of pipe welded on

Thanks for that... Been busy phoning around today...slight possibility might be able to get the part through one dealer, otherwise local plumbers next stop.... but still hoping someone might have one in the attic??? or an old trumatic in the garage saved for spares and not needed???

you still have to get the old one out,or have you done that?thing is people like me might very well have one in a box of bits in the shed and forgotten what its off,but show us one and we'd sort it.not nearby are you?

Thanks again... no sadly not nearby... in west sussex, but I do have the elbow....a friend is going to help me get the threaded piece out of the boiler in the next few days sometime we hope...I'm told I need to be v. careful when doing this as easy to split the boiler... then will post an image on here when I've got it all out... thanks very much indeed for your suggestions. Vince
