Hi All, I was wondering if anyone has used a Truma Combi heater for heating only, with the van drained? The book doesn't directly say yes or no to this, but hints that it can be used when drained. If it was very cold and you had the van drained down, but just wanted blown air heating.

Yes you can use the heater with no water, even though when running the heater only it also heats the water to 40c. But make sure the water heating is off.

Yes, you can use a Truma Combi heater without water, but you should only use it in the "room heating" mode, ensuring the water tank is properly emptied and leaving the FrostControl open to prevent potential issues with residual water; essentially, you can only use the heating function without utilizing the hot water feature when there is no water in the system.

So this could potentially be used when on hook up stored out of season to keep it at a nice temp instead of using a plug in heater ? It is true you learn something new everyday :) :) I`ve only just clocked I have a cab battery charge switch on my display :) not bad for me I`ve only had my bus 11 years :) . Yes I know where I live before you ask :) .
