Trip switch

2002 swift sundance electric circuit will trip out after about an hour with the heater on 2000w power level and no other load on the circuit. My question is does this mean there is a problem with the heater or trip switch. The main van trip switch does not trip out.

Thanks
Rob

If you need a 2000w heater for an hour, then I think you need better insulation
What amperage is the trip switch (MCB)?

Standard van heater which was put on full by mistake when I returned to van wife told me power had switched off after an hour ( they thought that heater was off at the time) roof and windows open. I have not looked at the rcd yet

If the "RCD" has tripped then It could be a problem with the heater or wiring
the RCD is designed to trip very quick if there is a bad problem with shorting/earthing in the wiring some where.
But If the Miniature circuit breaker has tripped, for a 2000w heater it should be at least 10 amps, if it is only 10 amp mcb, you may need a new mcb
(250 watts @230v = 1 Amp fuse/mcb needed approx)
