I'm looking for travel insurance for pre existing medical conditions.................any recommendations would be appreciated.

I think it will depend on the condition(s) declared but I can say that LV (Liverpool Victoria) were cheaper when I shopped around.

Currently use LV Travel Insurance at their Essential Level.
However that will not cover me for anything resulting from my existing condition.
Perhaps I should consider Staysure and see if they would cover my existing condition.

Worth trying the AA we have used them several times also get a quote from Big Cat or World First.

Update

Thanks for all the suggestions,I have tried them all and Staysure came out the best for us.It does depend on what sort of pre existing condition you have and some of them wouldn't insure us at all(mrs wakk has a pacing device fitted).Staysure allow an unlimited amount of trips in the year and a maximum duration of 50 days for an individual trip with a maximum of 183 days abroad in the year. The premium was just less than £200pa.

This can be extended to 100 days for an extra premium but only if you are under 65 years of age, they insure anyone up to the age of 85.I left it at 50 days as we only intend going to Portugal/Spain for a maximum of 6 weeks. It's surprising the difference in premiums between the different insurance companies for similar cover.
