Just got back from recovering our trailer.
Went with the girls to do a Gig in Tunbridge Wells. checked tyre pressures etc before we left, on way back truck shed a long length of tread just as it passed us, took out the offside trailer mud guard and subsequently the tyre. Changed it before the motorway patrol arrived.
Just outside of Chester, the other one blew out, bugger so loaded all PA & lighting into MH and left the trailer chained to bollard.
It used mini tyres anyone looked at the cost of Mini tyres, it's rediculous.
Ended up getting two trailer wheels and tyres cheaper than a pair of mini tyres, look smarter and probably easier to get spares.
So if you've got a trailer with Mini tyres look at the cost.
PS, checked the tyres during the journey, didn't get too hot, no bulges, cracks etc, just unlucky. Even with slow traffic on M25 for miles averaged over 28MPG with 4 adults + luggage and a box trailer about 300Kg
