I was going to say I could get pulled off for a lot less money but I won't.
In that case I'll order some matsAdmin was pulling a lot of folk off at Hereford and he seemed to be enjoying himself.![]()
Never had a problem with my manual box, finding it not so easy now with an auto.Half the problem is people use the wrong gear to get out, I use second and just gently let the clutch out, revving digs a hole.
Auto should be easier in most stuck situations. Well, an auto with a torque convertor. Although manual is easier if the way to get out is rocking forwards and backward.Never had a problem with my manual box, finding it not so easy now with an auto.
Nah, I'd get banned from the forum.I tend to use "rocking forwards and backward" to get in.![]()
I have a pair of those Milenco mats and they've proved to be rubbish. The holes just filled with mud and there was probably less grip with the mats once that had happened than without the mats. We've been stuck three times and the Milenco mats have failed to do the trick each time. First time, someone had some cheap mats (like in the piccy below). Second time, someone towed us out with a Land Rover. Third time the campsite operator had a tractor! FWIW, I'm now considering a couple of mooring pins and a small Tirfor winch to be able to pull the van to safety a couple of feet at a time!
Some of the older stuff was but nothing I have had in the last 20 or so years will let you lock into a higher gear.Auto should be easier in most stuck situations. Well, an auto with a torque convertor. Although manual is easier if the way to get out is rocking forwards and backward.
