towing with a motor home

Hi all I have attached a link from my local news paper regarding a car becoming detached from a motor home

A SWANSEA man is in a stable condition in hospital after becoming pinned under the car he had been towing behind his motorhome.

As you will read this was a frightening experience for all concerned and the message should be always double check any load is secure before moving off

I read that article earlier today, have to say I'm at a loss to understand what happened. It sounds as if the chap was run over by the car after it was detached from the motorhome, and the motorhome rolled away down the hill as well.

Yes you are right Andy the driver realised there was a problem with his car on the back and stopped at the end of his road from his house. This was at the top of quite a steep hill and it seams did not apply the hand brake properly, when he got out the van went down the hill with his wife still in it and the car followed with him underneath the car. A big price to pay for not checking first everything is attached correctly or may be rushing I do not know which.
