Tow Bar fitting to Hymer

Hello here again for advice!!

Has any one ever fitted a tow bar to a Hymer camper van if so can anyone give me a spec on what height and the gauge of metal its just to tow a trailer to carry up to 750kg.

There's one on Fleabay to fit an Alko chassis for £100........now.

Regarding height, if you mean towball height it should be 13 - 14" from the ground although you may need a dropper plate if you are towing a little camping trailer.

Towsure now stock motorhome towbars, and there specialist such as PWS in Poole and Midland Magneto in Nottingham, but one-offs are expensive - mine with single socket was £650!!!!!!!!!!!

yes i agree about Towsure they have a usefull wwwsite; i got one for my ducato ;; their some of the best prices around
