There are a number small stone chips on the white GRP plastic panels of my MH, where chipped it is showing the black base layer. What sort of touch up paint or whatever would be best to use?
Thanks in advance.

If tiny ,white touch up paint dabbed in with a matchstick, if large white marine epoxy gell coat filler , lightly flatted down with 1200 to 2000 wet or dry used wet ,and polish with g 3 compound .

It's often very difficult to apply the right amount of touch up paint into a small chip.

Rather than a brush I have a sewing needle pushed into a cork, sharp end first.

The blunt end is very small in diameter but ideal to lift a small quantity of paint. Holding the cork gives you great control.

Apply a small amount of paint, allow it to dry, then repeat till the paint level matches the surrounding area.

I use Fiat Bianco White ...

For very small chips use a sharpie permanent marker works for car valaters.

Epoxy is good to stick onto old surface but if left will go flat,it must be covered with two pack polyurathane.
Or you could use a gel coat filler/finish and 1200 paper down and polish with g3 compound.

Hi MR I,

Have a look at ‘Chipex’ diy car stone chip paint.

Colour matched if required and ‘blobbed’ on (technical term!) and ‘wiped off’ with the provided cloth etc untill its level with the surroundings surface.

Think of paint restoring car polish that fills holes.

Will not grip to grp.

Dead flys also.
You are right there Trev. I cleaned the MH yesterday and the flies that were no more than smears of blood & gizzards were I nightmare to rub off, some I had to scratch with my nail. Cured biting my nails for the day though!

Next time Ral try some WD40, I kid you not, good for tar spots as well :)
