Is there such a beast on the market, because even though they say wireless, the header unit and the cameras need wires for power and sensors. Why cant someone make one thats detachable and rechargeable with lithium batts that are longer lasting or even aaa batts which i wouldnt mind changing. I just hate these damn wires that run all round the van, up the window, under the sink, along the cupboards etc, i just hate wires, lol. Dont mine the cost or even the size, its the wires I want to loose, rant over, lol

Why would wires be running under sink and cupboards etc, when I fitted mine I ran the wires underneath the van.

Wireless?

I quite agree about the nuisance of wires... although I did mine the hard way why not fit the cameras [and wires] on the roof? Might be the chance of eventual UV damage - or paint em....

After having a wireless camera fitted, I would never have another. The last one I fitted had the wiring running along the roof in the solar cable conduit and down with the solar cables behind the drivers seat. Then an easy job to run behind the door trims to the dash area. I also ran the camera power from a dash switch instead of reversing circuit, so I could use the camera at any time.

Wires...Mainly best !

So much more reliable.
Also powered of Battery (Usually Engine)

Various ways you can run and secure the wires.
1 As has been suggested -- underneath
2 What about underneath but behind a sidewall lower trim.
3 if on the roof use some suitable trunking

Yo may need trunking on the rear wall anyway to get ty wires up to camera height.

We had ours fitted and there is a small hole on the curved part of our rear roof
Only other wire is to the Screen in the corner of the windscreen
That will always need wire for power anyway !

Do it once...Do it Right !

Ive just bought one with cables and ill use the solar trunking to get it inside the van, thanks all but the wireless ones seem somewhat unreliable
