Is this still a useful over night or is it busy at night with youngsters?

I was in Aberdeen a month ago and parked up on the esplanade, we turned right at the roundabout past the shops and parked up by the burger vans and believe it or not two sauna vans? We met up with a couple of friends the day after and was informed if we turned left instead of right it was more suited as you don't get the vehicles heading into the harbour.
