if anybody is interested according to yahoo mail today the top gear team cannot tell the difference between a Ferrari and a toyota mr 2 Controversy has struck Top Gear once again as it is alleged three 'Ferraris' that appeared on stage at a Top Gear Live show were fakes. Show goers at the Australian leg of Top Gear's international tour noticed something fishy about the trio of red Ferraris doing burnouts on stage alongside Clarkson and co.

According to attendees at the Acer Arena in Sydney, the distinctive V8 howl of the Ferrari 360 Spiders was drowned out by loud music and cheering, but the cars on display showed vital clues as to their authenticity (or lack thereof).

One keen observer, who refused to be named, noticed something different about the bodywork on stage, then saw the cars backstage with their engine covers up and noticed the powerplants 'were definitely not Ferrari engines.' The Top Gear Ferraris appear to be missing the distinctive air intakes above the rear wheels, with some alleging they are actually re-bodied Toyota MR2s. ps i dident wright this up its too well done for me its a copy

The allegation could come at a better time for the Top Gear team, too, as it follows the emergency grounding of a helicopter carrying presenters Clarkson and Hammond in New Zealand. Nobody was injured when the chopper struck a seagull and had to land, but it seems Top Gear is having a bit of an unlucky streak at the moment
