Ton of coal for free and coal bunker if you want it, will need collecting from Stretford, Manchester. The coal is NOT smokeless, it's the good old fashioned proper stuff we had as kids.
Ton of coal is about £275-£300. Donation to an animal charity would be much appreciated.

Can you bag it and send it up via Hermes😂.

If I was a bit closer I'd grab 100kg,I normally use smokeless in my wagon but beggars choosers etc. I wonder if a local charity would take it,must be a few oldies about still heating with coal.

A few years ago after a request I went to see a old couple in our village They asked me to take away some coal as they wanted to get some fresh in for the winter nothing I said would convince them they didn't need to change it

After a billion years it reached it's use by date the year after they got it?

The coal is at my deceased aunts, she used to buy it by the ton and was one of the first in her area to have central heating installed, years before the smokeless zones were introduced. When we first moved into our hovel we used a couple of hundred weight before renovating the house. One lump of coal was too big to fit into a two gallon bucket!

I remember buying a bag of sweets in Spain that looked like coal, all odd shapes, bit into it and it was just black sugar. :(

I have not seen coal in over 40 years, coal is 4/5 times more costly to heat a house than oil/gas and is not controlable, looked good burning at xmas in our old house sitting room though.

I would keep it. Next year when it's illegal to buy it it will be worth more than gold. You could offer it to the local railway society but it will only keep one of their monsters in steam for a couple of hours.
