Tomtom XL live IQ routes for sale.
This has just had the latest official map installed so is bang up to date. It also uses the map share technology, which is where users submit changes to maps and you update from them. This essentially gives free regular updates whenever you connect to a PC.
I have installed several sets of POI's including wild camping, C&CC CL, CC CS, autogas and others. You can change and customise these. I have also installed speed (safety ha ha) camera locations as well as the proximity alerts, so you get a "bong" when approaching a camera site as well as an alert of the current limit. It is set up to "bong" as well whenever you exceed the stated speed limit for the road you are on. A great set of licence saving tools!
Live IQ routes plan routes on expected traffic volumes, routing you round known busy spots. It also has lane change technology, showing you which lane to get in at a junction.
Perhaps of interest to drivers of coach builts or larger, I have installed alerts for HGV restricted roads. It will still route you via them, but alerts you on approach allowing you to use your intelligence and make a choice.
If any of the customising I've done isn't to your taste, the unit can have a factory reset performed.
The unit comes with an official Tomtom hard carry case and the original USB lead. A suction mount with easy port connection is also included.
This is a versatile well respected unit that has been customised for Motorhome use, but can easily be reset. It is not a cheap shop get you by device!
